With the year 2008 almost finished Hollywood presented us with at least three hundred films. Out of all these movies, something like 70, or so, would be classified as comedies. Let’s name a few of the best comedies to see out there for you.

MADAGASCAR: ESCAPE 2 AFRICA: As the title suggests, this is the next in the sequence to the big hit film Madagascar. The small group of animal friends are ready to go back to the zoo in New York, which is home for them all. As oppossed to going home, thanks to those wacky Penguins again, they will wind up going to have more adventures first.

PINEAPPLE EXPRESS: Complete stoner Dale unfortunately has just viewed a bad police officer, and a powerful drug dealer, kill someone. They see him witness the crime. Knowing they’ve seen him, he is so shaken he throws down his joint, a rare blend namend pineapple express, and takes off. The weed is so special, that the bad guys can track it. The “fun” is on, as Dale and his dealer Saul are on the run.

HAMLET 2: Failed actor Mr. Marshz now finds himself teaching theater classes at the high school to students who just don’t care. The school loses a building due to destruction, so the school administation feels that the theater curriculum will get the axe. With a challenge now in front of him, he sets out to save the theater classes by producing Hamlet 2, an original interpretation of the Shakespeare classic, which he creates.

GET SMART: Agent 86, aka Maxwell Smart is back, can you believe it? Would you believe… ? The classic James Bond spy spoof, the shoe phone, and the cone of silence. It is is a fun look back at the world of KAOS and CONTROL.

TROPIC THUNDER: With a collection of acting greats this film is a parody of recent war movies. To get a realistic performance from his super star cast to see the movie be a success, the seemingly bold director into the middle of nowhere, leaving them to fend for themselves. The plan is to scare them into making a war movie monster, which will be caught on hidden cameras in the area. When the director walks over a land mine and is blown apart, the spoiled actors are on their own, and they are covinced everything is just an act, but things are getting very, very real. Great cast with incredible make up for Robert Downey Jr.and Tom Cruise.

STEP BROTHERS: When two child like older men, who each live with their single parents, are going to share a room because their parents marry, big problems loom. With Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly playing the parts, and this seems to be a great recipe for a funny movie. This seems like a must see for a good time this year.

FORGETTING SAHRAH MARSHALL: Following an undesired break up with Sarah, a TV sitcom actress, Peter decides to take a vacation to the Hawaiian Islands to get over his misery. Of course, when he arrives at his hotel, the first thing he sees is his ex and her new lover, who is a mega rock star. This film is a thoughtful romantic comedy.

ROLE MODELS: Danny and Wheeler, who sell energy drinks, are looking at jail time after destroying the company vehicle while binging. The only way to avoid being locked up is to work in community service for 150 hours. They are assigned to work as mentors with difficult children in a big brother type situation. The pieces are all in place for this to be very funny.

ZACK AND MIRI MAKE A PORNO: The bills are piling up and Zack and Miri, roomies who have been friends since grade school, need to make some money. What’s their solution? That’s obvious, make a dirty movie. As one can expect this is a perfect enviornment for a great comedy.

PINEAPPLE EXPRESS: Full time stoner Dale Denton, in a stroke of bad luck, has seen a bad police officer, and the local drug king pin, kill someone. He was spotted, and they know he has seen the murder. Understanding that he has been seen, he unwittingly throws down his joint, a unique version called pineapple express, and takes off. The pot is so unique, that the bad guys can track it. The “fun” is on, as Dale and his dealer Saul are deparately hidding from the bad guys.
