I have written many documents on government auctions and police auctions in the past, but only as of late have I been providing specific examples of the deals that can be found at these auctions. You may of heard of rumors of the great prices available at government auctions, however, seeing is believing, and since the government does not advertise the specific cars or items that are offered at the auctions, I am attempting to demonstrate some of the great deals you will find there. The police and government are overstocked with repossessed cars and therefore are eager to clear them out, and in turn this provides great opportunities to anyone who will make an effort to attend their auctions.
What if retail stores such as Best Buy or Walmart never bothered to publicize their great deals? Do you really think Walmart would even get near the business they get today if they’ve never advertised? A good portion of many retail stores attract their audience by advertising sales and discounts ahead of time. Police and Government auctions, however, still has a popular following even though the government never spends on advertising the specific items it will be selling. The government doesn’t have much of an advertising budget and yet they still manage to quickly sell their merchandise and that’s because they have best bargains period. There is a vast difference from the retailer who has to pay for marketing, the cost of the item itself and above that they need to make a good profit. The police and government don’t have any of these costs so obviously the savings is reflected in the items price.
Having said that my goal is to make interested people aware of the deals that are currently available from any of the numerous government auction agencies. For research I generally use my number one rated government vehicle auctions site as evaluated on my review site highlighted in the last paragraph. By the time you read this the items listed may of expired, however, it will provide you with an example of what kind of deals are available, so when you’re in the market for the same type of item you’ll know where to look and what price range to expect. For this article I have found a number of cars (and a pickup truck) among the tens of thousands that are available. These are just a randomly selected micro sample of some of the fantastic deals that are available:
* 2005 Porche Boxster with 14K miles – $5,790
* 2005 X5 BMW with 15K miles – $4,140
* 2005 Ford 150 Pickup with 12K miles for – $5,710
* Subaru 2005 Forester S 14.1K miles $4,320
* Toyota 2004 Camry LE 26.1K miles $4,070
Like I said these are just a sample of ones I selected but you can select from any made and model. So where do all these vehicles come from and why are they so darn cheap? The come from numerous branch sources which all have many vehicles reposed for different reasons ranging from unpaid debt and/or taxes to many different legal reasons. Police and other government agencies also sell off the items that they obtain from convicted criminals.
You should consider going to a live government auction rather than an online auction because you will have the time and opportunity to get a good look at the available vehicles. If you’re not a car expert yourself, you should bring someone along who is. Make sure you find out information concerning its quality and history. Remember, most people aren’t even aware of government and police auctions or the great values that can be found there so you can choose from a great vehicle selection one that normally would be outside your budget.
