Camera bags are like women’s purses, it’s hard to find the right one that has the exact amount of pocket and enough space to carry everything she needs without being too big or too small.

A professional or amateur photographer could take hours; maybe days looking for the right camera bag to hold their camera and all its gear like extra lenses, additional batteries and a battery charger in addition to smaller pockets for sim cards. Some photographers use multiple cameras to get multiple photographic effects, and therefore their camera bag needs to be a little larger.

Nearly all camera bags are made of a strong fiber fill wrapped in an even stronger tear resistance type of vinyl or sometimes a ‘parachute’ style material to avoid rips and tears during various outing like in overhead compartments on an airplane.

Almost all of the camera bags found on the market today are water resistant and some even have extra thick padding for those photographers who use their camera bags for somewhat dangerous situations.  For example, sports photographers may need to keep their camera bag on the sidelines of a football game or baseball game and if a player happens to trip over it they need to know that their equipment is safe as it is tumbling along with the player down the field.

Other photographers may use a saddlebag style camera bag which goes over one shoulder and can be extremely portable while a photographer is trying to take a photograph of people riding Greenline bikes down the boardwalk while the photographer is also on a bicycle or even running alongside the bike in order to get the perfect shot.

Camera bags come in all shapes and sizes such as the saddlebag which is an over-the- shoulder style bag, fanny pack style bags which wrap around a person’s waist to give them hands-free access to their cameras and props in addition to a backpack style camera bag which is great for outdoor photographers who are hiking or biking in rough terrain and do not want their camera equipment bouncing all over the place for these backpack style camera bags have tight compartments in which everything fits neatly into so nothing will fall out or get jostled around.
